Viscosupplementation – Knee Injections

Viscosupplementation is a medical procedure used to treat joint pain caused by osteoarthritis, particularly in the knee. It involves the injection of hyaluronic acid or similar substances directly into the joint space. Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the synovial fluid that lubricates and cushions the joints. By supplementing this fluid, viscosupplementation aims to improve joint mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall joint function. This treatment is often considered when conventional therapies such as pain medications and physical therapy have not provided sufficient relief. We use an ultrasound-guided procedure for joint injections and other deep musculoskeletal injections for maximum accuracy.
